Retrofit for turning and milling machines

SAUER BIBUS brings a breath of fresh air to the service landscape.

The technological change in sectors such as the automotive industry leads to enormous challenges, especially for suppliers of precision parts and assemblies. In the last 10 years since the financial crisis in 2009, the industry has been spoiled with enormous growth rates. Internationally booming markets such as China and the USA also had a positive impact on the sales figures for suppliers who continuously expanded their machinery.

Investments were made analogous to the mostly multi-year call orders and could be amortized within the defined time frame.

But the conditions have changed significantly since the end of last year. For many consumers, the question of which drive technology will be the best in the future has not been answered, and this uncertainty, reinforced by the corona pandemic, leads to continued reluctance to buy.

In these times, it is often the better decision to optimize the performance of your existing machine park through professional retrofit services.

At the start with a new range of services

The company SAUER BIBUS has developed into one of the leading specialists for innovative hydraulic systems, stationary industrial applications, mobile hydraulics and branded components in the last 25 years and will now consistently open up this area.

As a longstanding partner of DAIKIN, the company knows the requirements for the market for turning and milling centers very well from OEM projects with DMG MORI or TRAUB INDEX. As an experienced specialist in hydraulic applications, SAUER BIBUS has now decided to bring a breath of fresh air to the service area for lathes and milling machines in Germany with a perfectly tailored range of services.

SAUER BIBUS managing director Ralf Schrempp formulates the strategy as follows:

“We have analyzed the market segment of services for precision parts manufacturers with turning and milling machines in detail. The result has shown us that there is an enormous need on the part of customers for timely services for retrofitting, repair and peripherals. We want to consistently tap this potential with our new business area. Qualified employees are available from the first contact to the implementation of the services. Competent, friendly and quick!"

As a subsidiary of BIBUS Holding AG, SAUER BIBUS can rely on a powerful group of companies. Because BIBUS Holding AG, based in Switzerland, has been successful for over 60 years with around 1,000 employees in more than 30 branches in global technology markets.

According to Ralf Schrempp, the new business area will focus on three areas of competence:

Retrofit

Upgrade of existing machines to the current technical state with the highest machine availability and performance.
Customer advantage: measurable increase in productivity.

Repairs

Repairs with original brand components by our own, experienced service team.
Customer advantage: Noticeable time and cost savings as well as the highest quality.

Periphery

Optimization of the machine periphery, for example through individual machine cooling instead of complex central systems.
Customer benefit: lower process costs with brand-neutral advice.

The services include qualified advice and analysis, short-term and reliable deadline commitments, the quick implementation of orders, transparent, clearly structured offers, the use of original brand components and well-trained service specialists.

Due to the long-term partnership with leading manufacturers, common spare and wear parts are usually immediately available from stock and ready for dispatch within 24 hours. SAUER BIBUS specializes in the stocking and availability of components and spare parts from Japanese manufacturers such as DMG MORI, OKUMA, MAZAK, DOOSAN or FANUC, to name just a few.

First-class services also in the area of peripherals

But the services go far beyond retrofits and repairs. The best example is the advice given to a customer by the SAUER BIBUS sales partners, in which, as it were, the peripheral strategy of the company's machine cooling was completely reconsidered. The result was a move away from central cooling to individually optimized cooling for each individual machine.

SAUER BIBUS has entered into cooperations with four sales teams and is therefore able to respond to advice and service requests throughout Germany at very short notice.
